Outlook Analyses and Planning Studies of Coalbed methane Resource in An Yang Mining Area

Coalbed methane is a valuable clean energy source which has a comprehensive development prospect. It is suggested that exploring and utilizing coalbed methane is a sustainable energy strategy . Based on previous experience of CBM exploration and drilling , in accordance with the resources of coalbed methane in the An Yang mining area, the paper reports on the parameters relating to the exploitation and utilization of coalbed methane including original coalbed methane content, gas pressure, air permeability of coal seam, etc. Moreover, the paper makes an appraisal of the exploitation of coalbed methane in the An Yang area and puts forward a tentative plan of how to make use of it.
