摘要

This paper presents a physical model and a mathematical model to simulate the deposition of suspended sediment in the typical reach of natural river and study its effect on the hydraulic works such as the river way, reservoir, etc. Since deposition in the watercourse or near the structures is vulnerable to the suspended sediment, it is essential to explore the mechanism how suspended loads influence the projects and hunt an effective technical way for the damage reduction by studying the movement motion of suspended load. As a result a reliable measure to deal with the problem of engineering sediment is provided.
