Dioxin Contents in Fly Ash of MSW Incinerator

The distribution of dioxin concentration in fly ash, which comes from four municipal solid waste (MSW) incinerators in China, was studied in this paper. It was concluded that the distribution patterns of the PCDD/Fs congeners was similar in fly ash A, C, and D with different type of incinerators and air pollution control device, but in incinerator B, the distribution of the PCDD/Fs was quite different. The synthesis mechanism of the incinerator B was major done by precursors and the others was major done by De novo. Injection the active carbon powder into stack was effective to decrease the concentration of the PCDD/Fs in the flue gas and increase the concentration in fly ash, but it couldn't influence the distribution patterns of the PCDD/Fs congeners in the fly ash.
