ON THE COMPLEX DAMPING OF MDOF SYSTEMS

摘要

In this paper, a theory of complex damping is introduced. It deals with both energy dissipation and energy transformation simultaneously in dynamically loaded structures. The theory is further explained by the consideration of the eigen-problem of a MDOF system.
