Lumber moisture content (MC) is one of the main feedback quantities of the wood drying process. Its precision directly affects the drying quality, the cost and the drying time of the wood. This paper introduces a dynamic compensation method of MC online measurement based on the principles of resistivity measurement to solve the problems of the traditional measuring methods, which is complicated to operate, and its reliability is low. Combined with this compensation method, micro-controller is embedded in the online measuring system. Programs are compiled to realize automatic calibration and zero adjustment. High precision reference resistance net is employed in the measuring system, which can rapidly develop the measuring precision. The experimental results show, this compensation method effectively eliminates the errors, and the measurement of MC is stable, timely and with high precision. The measuring error is less than ±0.5%.
