Aim of the Ports Development Coastal pivotal port, central port of in Northeast area, main port for major contains around Bohai Sea area, super deep-water port of transshipping port of strategic materials in Northeast area and pivot of material exchange between North and South China By 2010, the handling capacity of Dalian port is expected to 250 million tons, and the capacity of passing container to 10 million TEU. By 2020, the handling capacity to 350 million tons and the capacity of passing containers to 1500 million TEU. 4.
