摘要

A single mode optical fiber with newly invented design concept was developed. The new fiber design concept aimed to make access network construction work significantly easy. The major progress of the concept is to permit fiber bending with 7.5mm radius. Based on the concept, we manufactured ultra-high bending resistant fibers and confirmed their good performance such as low bending loss and enough low splice loss. We have also developed new accessories for optical access network construction with fully utilizing the merit of the new concept fiber, The accessories lineup includes fiber cabinet, optical outlet, cord, fiber connector and so on. Each accessory has size merit. The cables can be installed in small conduit having small diameter curves, realizing flexible distribution in building, office or house.
