During CAPMOS'05 experiment s (Sa nti, 2007) digital photography of the sea state were made regularly with interval f rom 5 minutes to 2 hours w ithin a day time synchronously with multic hannel pass ive mic rowave measurements. Base d on specific photogr aphy pr ocessing several p arameters were introduced to c haracterize the surface roughness. Long-time series of these parameters were compared against characteristic s of curvature and slopes spectra of gra vity-capillary su rface waves (GCW), obtained from sy nchronous micro wave data w ith the use of origina I algorithms. A correlation analy sis perfo rmed has shown a potential use of digital photogr aphy for suppor t a nd correcting of the estimates of gravity-capillary wave spectrum, made by means of passive microwave sensing.
