In the frame work of th e Hy pad.Com Pr oject (supported by the Italian Ministry of the Environment) three in situ campaigns were carried out in the Kotor bay and along the Buljarica s horeline (Montenegro), from the 31st June to 2nd Jul y 2008 . S everal submerged v egetation spectra were collected b y two different portab le s pectroradiometers (OceanOptics a nd S pectraScan) in or der to built a spec tral library. In particular, mo re than hu dred s pectra were collected for Posidonia and Cymodocea species, at a depth ranging from few cm to over 20 m and in presence of different background ty pologies (sand, rock, o ther vegetal species). Spectral data were collected following the SeaWiFS protocol in order to ob tain th e Rrs ( remote sensing R eflectance). By analyzing the different spectral behaviours it was possible to individuate s pecific spectral features use ful f or the s pecies discrimination by hyperspectral remote sensing applications.
