This paper reports test results and proposes empirical rules to predict acoustic vibration levels. We propose that coupling loss factors for Statistical Energy Analysis is not necessary for panel response predictions, but that loss factors and sound radiation efficiency is important. Three ways to measure the loss factor are presented, along with measurement results and a comparison between calculations and tests. It is shown that the PI (Power Injection) method and Decay rate method can predict the spatial square mean value of vibration response levels, and that the Decay method can envelope the maximum data of the test data. Lastly, we present how to consider the weight of heat pipes or equipment parts.
