A proof of concept Unmanned Air Vehicle (UAV) has been developed from a mixture of technologies ranging from “Off the Shelf” model airplane components to subsystems prototyped using conventional electronic parts and assemblies. Integration and test effort has been minimized through the use of proven components, construction and manufacturing techniques along with parallel threads of development. Risks were managed by clear goals, early initialization of tasks encompassing the entire scope of effort and immediate, frequent communications
