In this paper, 100GHz spacing 48 channels athermal AWG employing a novel principle was demonstrated. The center wavelength shift under the temperature from -5 to 70°C was less than +/-0.015 nm. And it was confirmed that this athermal AWG achieved extremely low temperature dependence compared with the conventional athermal AWG.
