Multiple Beam Laser Doppler Vibrometry for Landmine Detection

摘要

This paper describes the development of multiple beam laser Doppler vibrometers for landmine detection. The 16-beam MB-LDV can measure the vibration of the ground in 16 points along a line simultaneously. The velocity image of one square meter area of the ground can be obtained in a time less then 20 seconds. The laboratory prototype of the Matrix LDV with the beams configured into 16×16 2D- array is developed. It is capable of obtaining the velocity image of the surface in a time less then 1 second.
