Simulation of POF Links with Different Modulation Schemes

Nearly all of the today used POF systems work with simple NRZ modulation. For some applications, different modulation schemes might be better. As an example, MOST is using a RZ modulation. For very low bit rate systems, frequency modulation offers some advantages. Recently, the realization of an ISDN transmission over POF has been described([1], [2]). Electronic layouts can be simulated very simple in PSPICE, but there are not simple models for POF links. In the diploma theses work [3], we tried to implement a POF link in PSPICE. As a second step, several different modulation schemes have been tested and compared.
