Investigations of the automatic identification of sensors in a hand-held measuring instrument

In this paper a system for the automatic identification of sensors in a hand-held measuring instrument is presented. It facilitates adjusting the measurement parameters of the hand-held measuring instrument for the current used sensor. The identification is realised by colour recognition with a RGB-sensor and a fuzzy logic pattern recognition system.
