摘要

Haptic displays serve great importance in creating the immersiveness sense that block Virtual Reality (VR) users from the contradictory impressions from the real world. This paper introduces the general structure of Virtual Reality systems. It reports common approaches in constructing different virtual scenarios and the way they are utilised. The main objective of this project is to integrate a motion platform with an application program interface (API) based virtual environment authoriser to provide force feedback for simulating inertia related applications such as virtual gliding, driving, and snowboarding.
