Because of the high quantity of dust in the Nanjing Archives, it is not proper to reserve the files, data and CD through the measures and analysis to the old ventilation dehumidification system. In this paper, the characteristics of the dust in the archives and the foundational theories of dusting have been studied, and the way of the rebuilt ventilation dedust system has been proposed and realized. The new ventilation dedust system completely satisfied the demands on the Archives by experiments.
