摘要

The European standardisation organisation has developed models to predict the airborne and impact sound transmission between rooms. These predictions, presented in the European standard EN 12354 (2000), are based on the acoustic performance of different products involved. These acoustic performances are measured according to standardised laboratory measurement methods. Some experimental methods are well-established, as the sound reduction index of a wall but important quantities are not well-known till now like the vibration reduction index (K_(ij)). This quantity is important because it determines the contribution of the flanking transmission over the global sound transmission between rooms. After a short theoretical reminder, this paper will present the K_(ij) measured, in laboratory, over different kinds of junctions. These results will show the importance of the flanking transmission and will allow understanding the attenuation process through a junction. These measurements will also be compared with the three prediction methods: the SEA method, the analytical developments of Cremer and the empirical formulae of the European Standard EN 12354 (2000).
