Alternative Dilution System for Filter Testing

摘要

This paper describes a new approach to the design for a dilution system used in a multipass filter testing systems that is called a syringe type system. The syringe system is capable of instantaneously changing the dilution ratio. The syringe system would work with a steady flow or a cyclic flow filter test systems and would use less diluting fluid than currently employed dilution systems. In the paper the operation of the syringe dilution system will be illustrated using data produced through the use of a prototype system. It is believed that this new dilution system will provide the flexibility needed to accurately operate multipass testing systems either in the steady flow or the cyclic flow mode without extra cost.
