Angiogenesis is essential for tumor growth and progression. Therefore, inhibition of angiogenesis is being studied as a new anticancer therapy. The use of angiogenesis inhibitors conjugated to polymers for the treatment of common solid tumors has not materialized despite the increasing number of potential candidates. We hereby report the use of N-(2-hydroxypropyl) methacrylamide (HPMA) copolymer-TNP-470 as a specifically tumor targeted antiangiogenic conjugate.
