Advanced repairing techniques, such as electrochemical Chloride Extraction (ECE) and realkalization, have been utilized gradually in China. In this paper, electrochemical characteristics of ECE-treated samples are studied with electrochemical methods. The result indicates that half-cell potential of rebar in mortar becomes positive, and RC value becomes large. The composition of the surface film of steel takes place change after ECE treating. After ECE treatment, the reformation of passivation film of steel is a process of continuous consummating, which agrees well with the positive change of steel potential and the increase of RC value.
