We demonstrate experimentally a fast switching scheme of output from Orthogonally Polarized Pump Four Wave Mixing (OPP-FWM) in a BaTiO{sub}3 crystal. The switching is done by externally applied electric field to cause phase mismatch through Pockets effect. The required voltage and the required time to shut-off the output are roughly 300V and 10ms, respectively.
