A novel coating technology is introduced and the differences in chemical and physical behavior between coated and non-coated materials are shown. The presented phosphate ester unites all active components in a single molecule. This material has less polarity and therefore, it suitable for a non-polar environment. All systems are successfully incorporated into the polymer matrix of certain polyolefins. Mechanical properties of the plastic sample are evaluated. Fire behavior of the flame-retarded polymers was tested and compared to the previous technology. Water resistance is improved by using an advanced coating system.
