In Japan, with a rapid advance of ageing society, it is necessary to design the house with a free planning to use of wheelchairs or care the advance-aged persons. The space without vertical structural members such as column and wall in long span are needed. The beam efficiently supporting long span loading is required. Since the large section lumber such as laminated heavy timber for long span is very expensive, the composite beams using the small section members jointed by new connecting system developed by authors are tested to research the structural behavior including creep characteristics under the long-term loading. The test results during 2 years after the start of loading and calculating method of creep deflection of composite beam using the static linear analysis and the power law of lumber proposed in the previous studies are discussed. The results for 2 years loading indicate that the creep deflection has different characteristics for summer and winter. Applying the static linear analysis and the power law for SUGI lumber to estimate the creep deflection of composite beams, the creep deflection can be estimated approximately.
