摘要

In this paper, the performance characteristics of three ultraviolet radiometers were studied at the University of Botswana, over a period of two years. Two of these instruments were those manufactured by Eppley Laboratories of the USA and the third was one manufactured by Kipp and Zonen of Holland. A comparison of these instruments to each other and to a Precision Spectral Pyranometer showed that the Kipp and Zonen instrument had a better long-term performance stability than either of the Eppley instruments. It was also observed that the ratio of the ultraviolet radiation to the total radiation was higher for cloudy skies than for clear skies.
