Poly-Metamorphic Encryption Algorithm for Wireless Network Systems

Wireless network technology currently suffers from a lack of effective security and authentication techniques. It is quite possible for an unauthorised person to gain access to a network's resources and confidential data by utilising portable wireless technology to exploit weaknesses of current security in most wireless devices and networks. The main problem is the lack of safe and effective encryption. This paper presents an critical analysis of three widely used encryption techniques in use today and investigates what their advantages and disadvantages are and why they are not effective in the wireless context. A new technique will then be presented which will introduce a new encryption technique, called the Poly-Metamorphic (PMM) encryption algorithm, which may potentially help to solve the problems of secure transmission in wireless network systems. Finally the pros and cons of this technique will be discussed.
