A quantitative calculation of similarity degree for die parts

摘要

In this paper, a deep research on quantitative calculation of the similarity degree is advanced for a die CAD system in an integrated environment. Some concepts on similar feature unit and similar feature element are presented for the die CAD system to analyze the similarity of die parts and workpieces quantitatively. A similarity information model is built based on the similar feature elements of dies, which provide sufficient information for the whole system of die CAD.
