Although natural daylighting has many benefits, discomfort glare and cooling load incensement frequently occur when it is designed without scientific grounds. Among various methods, the scaled model experiments are easy and useful to evaluate the architectural daylighting performances. This paper aims to verify the utility of scaled model experiments in architectural daylighting performance. For the purpose, two types of atrium models are made and evaluated. And then, the computer simulations of the same models are performed. Comparing the results between experiments and simulations, the errors are analyzed under 8%. Therefore, the utilities of scaled model experiments are verified to evaluate daylighting performance.
