In this study, mobility gap by car availability of the elderly households and the non-elderly households is scrutinized, and then authors tried to calculate the prospect of the future mobility gap between these households in Tokyo Metropolitan Area. As a result of case study, it is shown that trip production of the elderly could be sustained by improving private car availability or by forming compact cities around stations.
