Spectrally efficient cell planning in mobile wireless networks

摘要

In cellular wireless networks how effectively the allocated spectrum is used dependent on the cell plan i.e. the number, location, and configuration of the base stations. In particular, poor cell plans can make frequency assignment more difficult than it needs to be. In this paper we show how spectrally efficient cellular networks (i.e. ones that use the available spectrum efficiently) can be generated by incorporating some kind of interference measure at the cell planning stage.
