Qualitative and quantitative interpretations of the available hydrochemical data were studied in the area under investigation to indicate the main characteristics of the underground water, in addition to evaluate the water chemistry. The considered area is located to the east of the Nile Delta, Egypt between latitudes 30° 15' N and 30° 50' N. and longitudes 31° 20' E and 32° 10' E. Fourty three water samples were studied in details to evaluate the Quaternary water aquifer in the area under investigation with respect to the distribution of salinity, water types and the origin of the implied underground water. It is appeared to show that, 60.5% of the water samples are belonging to fresh water class and 39.5% of the water samples are belonging to the brackish water class. The fresh water class is located along and around El-Ismaillia canal, while the brackish water class is existed to the north and south of El-Ismaillia canal. Moreover, the water type along El-Ismaillia canal is sodium bicarbonate, this is due to the recharge from the canal itself, and while due north and south the water type is of sodium chloride. The water origin was also studied in the area under investigation, in which meteoric origin was manifested under oxidation conditions.
