Demonstration Of Transmission Of Pulses With Stationary Pulse Width Of 150 ps Over 3600 Km Concatenated 60 Km Standard Fiber Links At 1.55/spl mu/m Using Analog Optoelectronic Repeaters

The pulse width evolution in fiber links concatenated by simple analog bit rate transparent optoelectronic repeaters is experimentally investigated, demonstrating transmission of pulses at 1.55/spl mu/m with stationary pulse width of 150 ps over 3600 km concatenated 60 km standard fiber links using analog optoelectronic repeaters. The experiments agree well with simulation and theory.
