摘要

A rapid prototyping platform for hardware/software co-design of embedded system is presented in this paper. The use of modern APEX 20K FPGAs permits the instantiation of scalable processor cores and a tight and flexible coupling between hardware and software with a minimal communication delay. As a self-containing system it can be used in field without the need for a host system. Designed in module form several platform units can be connected to form a larger platform for complex system.
