FerryCat~(TM) 120 - The Fourth Solution

The paper describes the development of a new type double-ended ferry with a speed up to 24 knots and capacity of 120 private cars. The FerryCat is a catamaran built of aluminium. The efficiency of this ferry in relation to conventional double-ended ferries is shown with regard to speed, manoeuvring and loading. One diesel and rotatable thruster in each "corner" power the FerryCat. The development of hull form giving a favorable resistance and size of engines in relation to conventional ferries are shown.
