The projectiles, which are shaping by explosion at low concave explosive charge from the metallic liner are known like the EFP. Their high kinetic energy of order 3 MDJ provides their good penetrating ability. Due to the detonation front control there are shaped EFP of desired elongation with good flight stability and penetration performance. At elaborating the long-ranged EFP the model investigation of aerodynamics at the ballistic range is useful. At the A.F. Ioffe Institute ballistic range there were determined the drag and stability characteristics of the EFP models of elongation L/d = 2 ~ 4. There were obtained and quantitatively processed the axisymmetric EFP flowfield interferogramms. The diametrical density profiles showed the decisive role of the flare stabilizer to guarantee the flight stability. The results of the interferogramms and the main aerodynamic performance had proved the sufficient properties of researched EFP~s in their flight range and impact.
