Interaction of P-polarized femtosecond laser pulses at 8×10{sup}15 W/cm{sup}2 with metallic and dielectric targets are studied. Smaller later absorption and fewer emitted electrons sad lower hot electron temperature in dielectric target than that in metallic targets are found.
