Self-diffractions of reorientational photorefractive grating in liquid crystal sandwiched with photoconductive porphyrin-doped PVK films

We have fabricated a nematic liquid crystal layer sandwiched between photoconducting polymeric layers (porphyrin-doped PVK) and measured real-time self-diffraction signals for different applied voltages. The gratings recorded are easily switchable by means of laser beams or applied voltage.
