Polarization dependent optical grating in a methyl red doped polymer dispersed liquid crystal (E48:PVP)

We present initial results showing the dependence of holographic grating formation on polarization of the writing beams in a methyl red-doped POLC (E48:PVP) film. Our results depart from previously reported works.
