We are looking after the rapid increasing in number of communication links and their transfer at the higher and higher frequencies to answer the burst of information traffic. As a result of such activity the problem of quick and qualified estimation of the real atmosphere influence on a link performance (possible attenuation as a first try) is springing up. How it can be done? If all parameters of the meteorological phenomena, which have an influence on the radiowave attenuation in the atmosphere, had been known, the calculation itself would not have represented a problem. But as long as the atmospheric conditions are changing continuously and in a random way, one has to take into consideration the large time period (a month or a year) and to use the statistical approach when calculating the possible attenuation. It means that one has to calculate the probability distributions of attenuation on a specific communication link keeping in mind the climatic conditions around. And this approach requires the atmospheric modeling and using the statistical data about the atmospheric parameters averaged for the same time period. Since there are many parameters and they are dependent on the geographical location, the computer modeling and computer databases become necessary.
