The Story as a Constraint on Film

摘要

Rhetoric of a film is not always made to tell consistent stories. However, a requirement to understand a story may be a constraint on the cognition of film. The experimental results show that to relate to "rhetoric of a film with a purpose other than telling a consistent story", a viewer must relax his/her constraint of needing to understand a consistent story.
