Research carried out world-wide has well established that suitable addition of pozzolanic/mineral admixtures, such as, fly ash, ground granulated blast furnace slag (GGBS) and silica fume (SF) in concrete mixtures would lead to considerable improvement in the durability of concrete. High Performance Concrete (HPC) could be advantageously used in repairing the cover portions of concrete in the distressed reinforced concrete structural members, such as, beams, columns and floor slabs. This paper presents the details of the investigations undertaken at the Structural Engineering Research Centre (SERC), Chennai on the behaviour of structural elements repaired with HPC jacketing technique.
