Support system for suppliers auto-evaluation in supply chains

摘要

Supply chain management has for several years been considered a priority factor in company competitivity. One approach is to integrate the supplier into the choice of purchasing policies. We therefore propose a decision support tool to assist in evaluation of the impact of the principal's purchasing-policies on supplier performance. This tool uses a discrete event simulation technique linked to a constraint optimization model. The proposed performance evaluation tool is designed to enable the supplier to evaluate the effect of policy choice on his own performance and those of the supply chain.
