Improvements of Surface Qualities for Carbon and Stainless Steel Products at CSC

摘要

For the purpose of quality improvement, surface defects on API5L/X65 plate, A572/50 heavy plate, titanium - containing bloom / billet and 304 stainless thin cold rolled strips were investigated in the early stage of production. Analysis revealed that blister, sliver, crack, crust, skin lamination and seam defects were related to steelmaking process.
