摘要

Solar driven and inspired urban and regional design creates communities that are efficient, economical and compatible with the regions resources. To design sustainably requires the use of regional, renewable resources. Designing communities and the architecture within to respond to renewable resources is an essential challenge for public officials, architects and planners. All scales in the design of sustainable communities start by understanding and connecting to renewable, solar-based resources. Designing the "patterns of connections" to these regional resources, is a basic element in creating green and sustainable development. The integrating with and connecting to a regions "green infrastructure" - it's ecology, climate and resources - is the foundation element in the design of sustainable communities.
