As prices of energy and raw materials continue to rise, and safe waste disposal becomes environmentally more expensive, resource recovery becomes a vital matter for today's businesses. Recycling of many tough and valuable materials can be efficiently accomplished by cryogenically fine grinding these materials. Many of the new composite polymers and the multi-component materials are extremely difficult to process and recycle. CRYO-GRIND system can simplify such recovery and reuse. It employs a cryogenic process to embrittle and grind a wide range of polymeric materials and produces very fine and consistent particle size distribution. This paper presents applications of cryogenic grinding and cryogenic recycling.
