Structural Reinforcement of Bridges with CFRP Fibers

摘要

The experience of evaluating and reinforcing 13 highway bridges in Peru for the crossing of heavy loads is described. Reinforced concrete bridges, pre-cast and cast-in place post-tensioned bridges were studied. CFRP fibers made by different manufacturers were used for the reinforcement. The selection of the reinforcement system to be used was based on the particular conditions of each structure in order to obtain the best level of performance.
