The use and justification of duplex coatings for small to medium size bridges

This paper describes the cost effectiveness and methods of application of duplex coatings (galvanizing + paint) for bridges which can result in a life expectancy in excess of 50 years.For members which are too large to galvanize,a new software package is mtroduced which can instantly calculate appropriate splice locations.
