Software Process Models: Structure and Challenges

摘要

High-quality software is dependant on the enactment of a high-quality software development process which has to be defined by an adequate software process model. In this paper we are presenting a meta-model for software process models. This meta-model is used to discuss the adaptation of process models to different project requirements (i.e. tailoring and synthesis). We argue that the only satisfying way is to create the final model from process model fragments. Handling model fragments implies the need for a model calculus. Foundations of such a calculus are presented.
