This paper proposes a multi-level heuristic partitioning methodology for multiprocessor embedded systems. Two main levels are considered: System Level Partitioning and Functional Level Partitioning. Each level is decomposed in several steps, which contribute to reduce the parameters variability in a constraints dependent manner enabling the last steps to manage a reduced design space being aware that it will contain suboptimal solutions.
