Dynamic parameters of an analog-to-digital converter (ADC) are mostly achieved by discrete Fourier transform (DFT)-based algorithms. In practical application of these algorithms the sampling process is, in general, noncoherent with the sinewave test input signal. In these situations, spectral leakage arises. The leakage errors are reduced by windowing. Each window has his effectiveness in the reduction of the spectral leakage. In this paper one proposes a window's performance parameter which permits the optimal choice of the DFT window for accurate measurement of the ADC dynamic parameters obtained from ADC output data sequence spectrum. This parameter established the maximum resolution of the ADC up to which the window used has a properly behaviour.
